Owner Brian Subrahimi credits his father for teaching him the skilled patience of painting surfaces; In the coastal town of Kotor, Montenegro, Brian’s earliest memories are of seeing his father scrape, prep and paint the boats bound for the harbor.

He immigrated to the United States in the 1980’s, where painting boats turned into painting residences. Techniques he learned from home instilled in him a respect for classic workmanship and attention to detail. Soon after arriving, Brian rose quickly through the ranks and began his own business.

Today, Empire State Painting is a full-service firm, combining the best traditions of wall surface treatments– high gloss/lacquer, wallpaper, and standard finishes. Our on-the-ground team is comprised of 22 highly skilled applicators who are as methodical as they are professional.

We offer on-site surveys, consultations and execution of projects ranging from small to large. We work with retail and corporate clients directly or through the area’s top general contractors, Interior designers and architects.
